Our client requires an experienced International Estates Manager for their residential properties located in London, France, Italy & The USA .

Candidates must already be living in, and familiar with, London, Paris or NYC. They should offer fluency in French & English and be able to seamlessly  manage the upkeep and smooth running of our client's various properties.

The ideal candidate will be friendly and approachable, be familiar with working for a dynamic family with young children, and offer previous experience gathered in formally styled households.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Estate Manager will ensure that all the households are maintained to the highest standard so that they are ready for occupation at a moments notice.

He or She will be responsible for planned maintenance of the different properties along with any ad-hoc building projects. He or She will also have responsibility for managing the various households staff.

The role will involve international travel, going ahead of the Principals to open up the homes while assisting the household staff.

While the role in managerial in nature, the reality is that this will be a hands-on job, requiring a proactive, can do, 'roll-up-the-sleeves' type of person!

 

Responsible for:

  • Maintaining Interiors & Exteriors to highest standards
  • Ensuring a boutique hotel style of service is delivered by staff - uniformity across properties will be important
  • Upkeeps “Properties How-To" & family preferences in Estates Manual with clear instructions and photos as needed.

 

STAFF

  • Providing staff hiring, training & managing services
  • Overseeing staff schedules including holidays
  • Overseeing staff payments & payroll

 

PA TYPE DUTIES 

  • Managing the client's, travel and hotel bookings, Doctors appointments and arranging visas if needed
  • Liaise, schedule & supervise outside vendors, contractors, designers etc
  • Experienced in proving concierge type services
  • Oversees moving in & out of properties

 

PROPERTY

  • Oversees renovations, repairs and the preparation of the homes for visits
  • Maintains property budgets
  • Ensures security of the homes and maintains inventory of valuables
  • Conducts real estate searches & bookings for family holidays and trips.

Accommodation

When off site (not in London) – depending on locations: either an apartment, hotel room or shared staff cottage will be provided.

Entry Requirements

Candidates need to have their own established accommodation in London and have vast experience and knowledge of London (Presenting their own little black book of  established suppliers etc).

  • Ability to be extremely resourceful 
  • An excellent problem solver
  • Totally discreet, quiet and mindful of the importance of family privacy

The client is looking for someone who is discreet and professional, previous experience in a similar role essential as are excellent and verifiable references.

Fluent French and English. A love of travelling is essential.
