Our Client is looking for an exceptional Estates & Facility Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth functioning and perfect maintenance of their multiple homes which are situated over 2 States.

Roles and Responsibilities


Travelling between the properties, the position requires someone who is hands-on and able to oversee all household matters including but not limited to: technology, engineering & maintenance contracts, construction projects, pool/spa maintenance, care & storage of wine, art & antiques, some overview of security, garden and landscaping with the added potential to take responsibility for Health and Safety and First Aid Training of the domestic [household] staff.

The Estates & Facility Manager will need to work together with contractors and service providers to quickly familiarise him/herself with the technical systems incorporated into the property, which include: indoor/outdoor pools, media room, spa and gym, tennis court, outdoor lighting, alarm systems, lutron/crestron lighting controls and state of the art heating and cooling systems etc.

In addition, he/she will need to work with the existing domestic staff, teaching them the correct level of understanding of the relevant systems that have been incorporated into the properties, so that everyone is able to use the systems and technology to provide the top level of service expected.

The successful candidate may have gathered experience in private homes, deluxe or boutique hotels or Museums and Galleries – indeed any property where great emphasis has been given not only to cutting edge E&M and IT/AV systems but also the soft and hard finishes, art, antiques along with fixtures and fittings.

Eligibility


Candidates must be enthusiastic and organised team players who will be hands-on when necessary.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills along with an excellent command of English, spoken and written.

Work seamlessly with a multi-national teams, devising teaching methods that will ensure that all the staff know how to operate the household systems relevant to them.

Instil systems and protocols that allow staff to deliver a consistent level of service across all properties.

Are familiar with managing contractors and suppliers; Can take control of the supervision of all general household maintenance; Can manage accounts (in collaboration with the Family’s Private Office).

Acknowledge that while this is essentially a Monday to Friday role, they will need to offer flexibility at weekends and on evenings and over seasonal holiday periods.

Candidate will also have

A valid driving license.

Excellent references that can be checked.

Worked in a high profile establishments and/or households.

Excellent knowledge of the rules of etiquette, protocol and good manners.

The ability to always remain professional in every circumstance (and calm in those stressful moments).

The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Have a pro-active approach to work.

A Clean Police Record and/or happy to undergo an advanced background check.

While it is important that candidates present the right credentials, the client would also like to emphasise that they wish to find an Estate & Facility Manager who has:

An advanced understanding that work in a private home requires a proactive and forward-thinking approach.

A friendly and flexible nature.

The client also wishes to find a candidate who shows longevity in their previous roles and a desire to seek a long-term working commitment to their new employer.

It will be an advantage if candidates hold a relevant degree, although it is acknowledged that it will be more important for candidates to demonstrate a wide range of skills and knowledge within their respective discipline and to have a good working knowledge of current high-end systems and top end design driven interiors.
