We are seeking a HR Manager / Advisor for the family's luxury residences in London.

You will need to support the Head of Estates and the management team with a wide range of HR and current legislative advice, whilst working in a busy estate where the ability to think on your feet is expected.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be expected to have extensive experience and help support the business in the following areas:

  • Assistance with recruitment and selection process to minimise poor selection and reduce recruitment fees.
  • Support Heads of Department with staff development, engagement and motivation strategies to increase staff retention rates
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support the business and Heads of Department.
  • Oversee probation and performance appraisals and design and support systems to drive higher levels of performance.
  • Assistance with training needs, programmes and health & safety matters in conjunction with engineering.
  • Assistance with management and employee relations in regard to grievance, including any harassment or discrimination issues, disciplinary procedures and legal compliance to minimise any future potential risks or claims.
  • Reduce Heads of Department time spent on HR related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Assistance with pensions scheme questions.
  • Review of benefits/salaries in line with market rates.
  • Review of absence/sickness levels & review trends/patterns/trigger points and produce reports which will support the management team.
  • Creation, implementation and updating of staff handbook.
  • Payroll management.
  • Implementation of HR database and systems and the ongoing streamlining of current processes.

Entry Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

The HR Manager / Advisor is expected to have worked at the highest level of service either within their industry and it would be an advantage if they have experience of working within a private house for UHNWI, but this is not essential. The HR Manager / Advisor is expected to work in partnership with the other members of the estate team to help deliver the highest level of operational performance. You should be educated to a degree level and be able to demonstrate a wide range of skills and knowledge within your respective discipline. It is expected that you will have a CIPD or other qualification that is recognized within your industry. You are expected to keep updated on legislation and future changes as we exit the EU, and what that will mean to us as a business.

This is a demanding and high pressure role running a private estate at 7* level. This role would best suit someone who is at the very top of their discipline and wants to take themselves and their team to the next level.
