Wanted - an enthusiastic person to join our garden team. We need someone who is happy working outdoors all year round but also enjoys gardens with flexible common sense approach to the task in hand.

The features of this beautiful 5 acre garden is currently undergoing complete restoration and transformation. The work is varied: we have a mix of formal gardens, kitchen gardens, greenhouses, fruit production (including an espalies), woodland garden and complicated water features. A large aray of stone features that need regular cleaning and general upkeep.

Roles and Responsibilities


To provide full support to the FM Team to carry out day to day tasks to ensure the properties are maintained to the highest standard.

To carry out Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance tasks as required.

Work alongside the garden team to ensure that residences are ready for occupation at all times.

Ensure that the gardens are presented to a 7 star standard in the most efficient manner possible.

A ‘can-do’ attitude, including a willingness to work flexibly and to support the wider organisation and its goals.

Excellent attention to details.

Assist in planting and maintaining a wide variety of plants and shrubs.

Apply manures and mulches.

Maintain garden paths in a clean and safe condition – including pressure washing, weeding and brooming. Application of algicides where appropriate.

Use, and be responsible for the safe operation of all hand tools and machinery within the gardens, ensuring that safe working practices and all health and safety regulations are observed at all times.

Assist in the maintenance of all the garden water features to ensure adequate flow, presentation and cleaning.

Clearing all garden debris.

Composting of garden waste using machanical aids.

Eligibility


The applicant must be flexible, enjoy being part of a team, hardworking and reliable, comfortable with operating garden machinery (any certificates an advantage).

Experience of working in a Estate type setting would be useful.

The garden team will need to be able to interact with other team members, VIPs and owners alike.

All successful Candidates would be required to sign a non disclosure agreement and be subject to a CRB check.
