P/T Housekeeper | Cowes

Circa £15 p/h DOE

We are looking for a part-time housekeeper, to work approximately 14 hours per week, to maintain a lovely family holiday home in Cowes, on the Isle-of-Wight.

Because the house is used only very occasionally, the housekeeper can define work hours that suit his/her schedule, but as a key-holder, will be required to provide access to contractors on an ad-hoc basis.

Any additional hours worked when the family are in residence (which is not very often) would be paid as overtime.

The Housekeeper will need to keep close contact with the owner's administrative office in Berkshire, as they will inform the housekeeper of any upcoming family and staff visits, and will require maintenance updates, meter readings, and monthly petty cash reports etc.

The Housekeeper is employed to ensure that the main house and a staff house are constantly well-maintained. It is essential that the cleaning and general maintenance schedule of the properties is well-managed, and that the properties are kept in a “prepared” state at all times, to allow family, guests and staff to arrive at short notice.
