The details of the role:

The client lives in N3, and is looking for a professional chauffeur. 

We are looking for a chauffeur who is immaculate in his/her presentation, savvy, security-aware, quick-witted and able to show they can think on their feet. The role will be based on a 6-day week when the family are in residence. It will offer 20 days holidays + bank holidays, with additional time provided when the family are out of the country (circa 2–3 months).

The driver will be required to drive the following vehicles: Range Rover, Maserati Levante and will have a Mercedes C for everyday use and if needed, personal use.

NB. It would be considered preferential if candidates spoke Tagalog and/or Nepalese.

Roles and Responsibilities

Candidates must show they have:

  1. Experience of working as a private chauffeur in London, for a family, head of a multinational company, respected household, diplomatic mission etc etc
  2. A naturally smart appearance and demeanor;
  3. The chauffeur should have a proven knowledge of the various UK Road Traffic Acts and the Highway Code;
  4. A proven ability to practice the UK's rules of etiquette and protocol;
  5. Excellent written and spoken English;
  6. A great knowledge of Central and North London;
  7. The ability to follow instruction to the letter;
  8. A sound knowledge of basic mechanics i.e. fuel, water, oil, brake-fluid & wheel changing etc:
  9. The necessary skills and passion to maintain a vehicle in immaculate condition, inside and out, while ensuring the correct supply of amenities are to hand (eg: phone and lap top chargers, preferred mineral water, gum, wipes, sanitising gels or towels, newspapers, magazines etc);
  10. Must a have a clean and valid license;
  11. A flexible nature, and willingness to carry out duties and tasks not necessarily associated with that of a chauffeur (walk the dog, handy man duties, run errands, pick up groceries or a takeaway food order etc);
  12. someone offering ex police, forces/military experience would be seen in a very positive light, although this is not crucial.

 

Finally, the driver should live in or close to N3, and while driving, the chauffeur will be expected to wear a suit, casual clothes can be worn at other times.
