We are looking for a superlative General Manager with a proven track record in advanced 5* Hospitality, Team Leadership and Administration. Someone who presents proven experience gathered in:

  • 5* world-renowned Luxury hotels and/or
  • European Royal Households and/or
  • Highly respected Private estates,

to oversee the management of a substantial private estate on the outskirts of Paris.

The Property is undergoing substantial renovations, and there are many changes and improvements still to come. In order to protect the assets and to future-proof this stunning property we need a driven, conscientious and self-motivated individual with an exceptional eye for detail.

Roles and Responsibilities

The jobholder ensures that the estate is always maintained to the highest level where visitors can be received at short notice.

Before and during visits of guests, the jobholder will work with the client's travelling personal staff to ensure all visits are well prepared and the guests receive all that they require at the highest service levels

The jobholder leads by example and promotes a culture of quality, hyper-personalisation, and continuous improvement across the estate

The Estate Manager will prioritise and ensure total compliance by all stakeholders to ensure guests are provided with complete privacy and confidentiality of visits at all times

The jobholder oversees and manages several functions within the properties to ensure compliance with adopted standards and procedures

The job holder is responsible for management of all maintenance & IT activities at the estate, ensuring a standardized and high level of maintenance standards across facilities

The job holder has the skills to manage the operational budget, regular reporting and be a strong project manager

The job holder has the capacity to manage the staff on all levels, including recruitment and hiring, performance reviews and termination if necessary

Flexibility is required, as the Estate Manager must be on call to handle potential emergencies at any hour

It is the responsibility of the job holder to meet with vendors and negotiate contracts for F&B, hospitality services, and maintenance to ensure a good value for the Owner

The job holder will be able to provide advice around the best manner to operate and service the estate considering the need to attain the highest global hospitality standards for guests that are expected to visit irregularly and at short term not

Eligibility

Along with the defined key competences and personal specifications (which can be shared), candidates must hold ALL of the following

  • Fluency in French and English
  • 15 years’ experience gathered in similar roles, examples may include: GM of a respected 5* Hotel, Estate Manager of a world class property, 5* private island resort manager, Ambassadorial residence etc
  • Longevity in previous roles
  • University Degree(s) in Hospitality Management or similar
  • Proven experience of managing highly professional hospitality teams upward of 100 strong

 

While,

  • Foundation experience gathered in F&B, and/or formal banqueting or event management would be considered beneficial
