Facilities Manager I London

A Facilities Manager is sought for our client, to start Autumn 2022 Working in a great environment our client is looking for a proven hands-on facilities manager to oversee the smooth running of their family home. The position requires someone who is very hands-on in their approach to work, while being able to oversee all household matters including but not limited to: audio and visual technology, engineering & maintenance contracts (including: security equipment, wine cellar controls, Air cooling and heating systems etc) construction projects, pool/spa maintenance & landscaping. Working alone, the facilities manager will need to work with contractors and service providers to quickly familiarise him/herself with the technical systems incorporated into the property, which include: indoor/outdoor pool, media room, spa and gym, alarm systems, lutron/crestron lighting controls and state of the art heating and cooling systems etc. In addition, he/she will need to work with the existing domestic staff, teaching them the correct level of understanding for the relevant systems that have been incorporated into the property, so that everyone is able to use the systems and technology to provide the top level of service expected. The successful candidate may have gathered experience in private homes, deluxe or boutique hotels or Museums and Galleries – indeed any properties where great emphasis has been given not only to cutting edge M&E and AV systems but also the soft and hard finishes, art, antiques along with fixtures and fittings. As already mentioned: this job is hands on, there is no team of engineers to manage, so candidates must be prepared to be the first response to critical failure and engineering breakdowns. Therefore practical technical skills ]and the ability to think on your feet, is essential, as is the ability to learn quickly on the job. It will be an advantage if candidates hold HNC/HND Engineering discipline/Associate Degree and/or a professional membership in Facilities Management, although it will be more important for candidates to demonstrate a wide range of practical skills and knowledge within their respective discipline and to have a good working knowledge of current high-end systems.
