Part-time, live-out Housekeeper | Ascot

Roles and Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties:  

The role will include responsibility for the overall maintenance of the house and contents to the highest possible standard. This includes cleaning and polishing of all fixtures and fittings, polishing silver and brass items, care of antiques and cleaning crystal, laundry, washing, ironing, repairs to clothing and other fabrics, preparation of pictorial inventories for clothing, jewellery and wine, identifying and reporting maintenance issues within the residence and liaising with the in-house driving team. In addition, you may be required to do basic cooking and you will be required to wait at the table when the family are in residence.   

Laundry Duties:

The role will be heavily focused on laundry and wardrobe management, including the laundry of delicate fabrics and ironing. The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of fabrics and linens.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements:

A friendly, hard-working, trustworthy, and honest individual, who has common sense and takes initiative. Needs to have a flexible attitude and strong housekeeping experience. Someone who is discreet, unobtrusive and able to respect the family's privacy.

Excellent written and spoken English is required. Non-smoking work environment. Experience working as a Housekeeper in a domestic household essential. Driving license is essential. Candidates must have checkable, relevant references from previous employers.
