House Manager St Tropez

A House Manager with extensive private household experience is required to manage  the day-to-day operations of an elegant private villa in St. Tropez. The property comprises of a Main Villa and a Guest House, providing 15 bedrooms and bathrooms in total. 

The House Manager will be responsible for the property throughout the year, ensuring that it is maintained in perfect condition and that it is always ready for guests. Summer season preparation starts from March and the closing of the villa is envisaged for October. From November to February, the Manager will; oversee works, recruit staff for the following season and plan and book accommodation, ensuring all maintenance work is completed to an exceptionally high standard.

Exacting standards are expected at all times from the House Manager, who will be multi-disciplined, flexible and highly organised in what is a challenging, but highly rewarding role.

Roles and Responsibilities

The House Manager will respond quickly and efficiently to the demands of the Principal and his representatives. He/she will follow the direction of the General Director and the Personal Assistants accompanying the Principal, as well as instruction given by the SCI Manager. This role is wide-ranging and diverse. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the property is kept in an immaculate state of repair
  • Overseeing the running of the household with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Overseeing staff and organising staff planning with the Administrator
  • Booking all staff accommodation
  • Monitoring and organising all staff annual leave
  • Training and recruiting staff for the Summer Season
  • Establishing and implementing staff procedure
  • Working with the Administrator to establish an annual budget and expenditure
  • Managing expenditure to make savings where possible
  • Providing information for Monthly Fund Request
  • Organising quotes and, after approval from the General Director, implementing work
  • Monitoring any works, ensuring compliance with quotes provided
  • Updating the House Manual
  • Updating inventories
  • Ensuring that all cars are regularly serviced and all documentation is recorded
  • Regularly updating the General Director
  • Translating Works Fund Request Summary from French into English
  • Attending works meetings to liaise with contractors
  • Making purchases for family and guests
  • Constantly improving the system with Head Office so that all Principal's needs are met

Accommodation

There is a Staff House within the grounds, however, accommodation is to be discussed further to interview.
