Maintenance Manager – Scottish Highlands

A position has become available for an experienced and professional Maintenance Manager to assist with the day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance of a large number of properties across a country estate in the Highlands.  Applicants will require joinery, plumbing, heating and electrical experience.  The ability to problem solve, use initiative, work both alone and as part of a team is essential, along with upholding a good level of confidentiality. 

The Maintenance Manager will be totally hands-on and willing to tackle any problem and recommend when professional contractors should be brought in.

Experience of small boat operation/maintenance would be an advantage.

A full clean driving licence is required as the position comes with shared use of a company car, for work purposes only.

Roles and Responsibilities

General day-to-day duties / requirements:

  • Electrical experience
  • Plumbing experience
  • Heating experience
  • Joinery experience
  • Regular inspections of all properties, service voids and M&E equipment
  • Reporting of issues to Property Management Team
  • Clearing gutters, sweeping up
  • Problem solving
  • Cleaning cars
  • Meeting contractors and allowing access - overviewing work done
  • Boat opertaion and maintenance would be an advantage

Salary negotiable D.O.E

 

Accommodation

Although a live-out employee is preferable, accommodation could be made available on the estate.  If accommodation is required, it would be a flat at one of the property's cottages (some are two bedroom flats) which would be free of rent, council tax and insurance.
