An Estate Manager who is an all-rounder, enthusiastic and personable, with experience of different styled UHNW properties and private office activities, including administration through to being able to offer concierge type duties (knowing how to source private trainers, tickets to a sporting event or a last minute reservation for a restaurant etc).

An interest/background in organic farming, produce, horticulture would be especially welcomed as the family would like their property to helpful.

Candidates must be Entrepreneurial in style and able to respond and move quickly to requests.

Role: Resident Estate/Property Manager (might suit a couple)

Client: Private Family, residents of Hong Kong, occupying the property primarily during school holidays

Location: Inkpen, near Hungerford RG17

Property Description:  Main house, several cottages, c.60 acres, currently undergoing a major renovation project, plus potentially also 2 London properties. An outstanding private residence with state of the art facilities, including recreation facilities for the benefit of the family.

Current Staff : Housekeeper, head-gardener & gardener

Job Description: report directly to the owner, take responsibility on all day to day running of the estate

Accommodation: newly refurbished 4-bed detached house

Roles and Responsibilities

Hands on in nature, with duties that will include (in no particular order):

  • Property management, maintenance, repairs, liaison & supervision of contractors
  • Support and day-to-day management of onsite staff, including recruitment
  • To deal with administration, budgets, payment of invoices, maintaining accounts 
  • To take responsibility for the needs of family & guests, including concierge type duties, arranging recreational activities when in residence
  • To ensure the property & all facilities are in excellent repair and condition, maintained to the very highest standards
  • Dealings with neighbours, overseeing local PR
  • Ensuring proper Security is maintained
  • Health & safety, for staff, service providers and the family
  • All duties normally associated with the role of Resident Estate/Property manager
  • Liaising and point of contact for: design team, professional advisors, contractors, specialist suppliers etc
  • Where necessary some driving and airport runs
