Temp Butler / Lanarkshire

We are looking for a butler to fill a 8-week seasonal role (mid-June to Mid-August), who is fully conversant with working in a rural environment.

The butler will join an established team, and help deliver service at a prestigious historical property in the lowlands of Scotland.

• Must be able to lay a formal table and adapt to various styles of service
• Take care for house goods including tableware, silver, china & crystal etc
• Will lead meal services
• Will provide concierge and valet services
• Will liaise with estates and household staff including the chef regarding family and guest’s requirements
• Oversee and engaging in general housekeeping duties, especially in regard to dining and reception rooms
• Driving guests in absence of driver and other ad hoc duties
• Will show good organization skills
• Candidates will need to anticipate duties outside normal workweek, including evenings and weekends, should be anticipated

Accommodation for the period of employ can be provided on the estate (room and bathroom), and meals will also be provided

It would be beneficial for applicants to have their own car – to use in their down time.
