Roles and Responsibilities

The Housekeeper & Wardrobe Mistress: The Basics

• Management of The Housekeeping Team
• Proven experience and ability to deliver the highest levels of personal service in households known for their high service standards
• Exceptional Wardrobe management skills, including couture experience, and the ability to ensure all choices and seasonal requirements are prepared
• Advanced knowledge re’ packing/unpacking for trips, along with clothes storage skills
• Elevated standards in laundry skills, including management and inventorying
• Oversight for the care, maintenance and storage of high-value items such as clothes, shoes and accessories
• To purchase personal items occasionally for Principals and family members
• Help develop a standards and cleaning regime manual for staff to follow, detailing all the correct products to use on different finishes
• Good understanding of working with state-of-the-art systems.

• The Housekeeper & Lady's Maid will circulate throughout all service areas, including laundry, staff accommodation, wet bar, pantry & kitchen, salons and bedroom suites to ensure all service standards and operational flows are well maintained but she will never intrude on the privacy of The Principals, their Family and Guests.  Candidates will need to have an exceptional, well-practiced eye for every detail and the ability and knack to effortlessly create a homely environment for all the family to enjoy which may include creation of floral arrangements and table decorations.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must:

• Have the legal right to live and work in Europe
• Hold a valid driving licence

Preferred Skills (some of the following would be advantageous)

• IT literate to include Word & Excel
• Health & Safety qualifications, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent.
• First Aid Qualification

NB. Qualifications such as diplomas, Catering or hospitality management qualifications would be considered advantageous but are not essential
