Housekeeper I Dordogne, France

£26,000K/ 30,000 Euros (+ Self-Contained Accommodation)

Our client is looking for a Housekeeper to join their established team, on their vineyard in an idyllic setting in the Dordogne region of France, the role if offered with self-contained accommodation on the estate, and all utilities are covered too.

The sole housekeeper will ensure the house is maintained to the appropriate level and in a permanent state of readiness, so the Principals and visitors can be received at short notice. The main house is part of  a large working estate and vineyard, so although the estate is a constant hive of activity, the main house is only used by the Principals and guests approximately 3 months of each year.

All the staff are passionate about the estate and their work, and so the principals are looking for someone who to embrace the role of housekeeper, with the same energy and level of enthusiasm shown by the existing team.

The ideal candidate will speak at the minimum, good basic French, but must have a good level of spoken English. The candidate must also have previous experience working in a similar environment and show good initiative and self-motivation, which is especially needed during quieter times.

When the Principals and guests are in residence the housekeeper will be expected to assist the staff who travel with the employers, who may include a House Manager and Chef, with duties such as preparing the dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with assisting service.
