The Company

The company supports the private and personal operations arm of the Chairman’s private organization and includes a mandate for overseeing all residential and property affairs, providing medical and security support, maintaining / promoting government relations, supporting the philanthropic initiatives of the Chairman, and arranging / coordinating all travel planning / logistics both in the Middle East and worldwide as required.

Job Purpose.

Establish and lead a Human Resources department from the ground up for around 230+ employees.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to developing and implementing all HR functions, strategies, JD’s, SOP, employee handbook and policies, ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws, including: UK, EU & USA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Employee Transfers
  • Lead and manage the transfer of 200 employees ensuring compliance with labor laws in collaboration with key heads of departments.
  • Lead the development and collaborate with key heads of departments for the creation of Job descriptions for each employee and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for each job function.
  1. Manpower Assessment and Training
  • Collaborate closely with key heads of departments to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of current staffing levels compared to workload demands to identify over/under staffing and determine necessary training to enhance service standards.
  • Collaborate closely with key heads of departments to Implement a performance management system to assess and enhance employee productivity and engagement.
  1. Recruitment
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews and selection.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs to forecast manpower budgets accordingly,
  • Introduce salary and benefits pay scales benchmarked against current industry standards.
  • Onboarding & training, creation of digital employee handbook, local culture awareness, ethical and work conduct in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training.
  1. Payroll Management
  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international payroll regulations.
  • Manage payroll records and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
  • Administer and manage employee vacation entitlement.
  1. Government Relations
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations in all countries where the family has properties.
  • Employee record management.
  • Liaise with all government authorities for work permits, visas, GOSI, QIWA, insurance and other necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with legal advisors to handle any legal matters related to employment.
  • Ensure all employment contracts are legally compliant and up to date.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPD) is preferred.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.

Eligibility

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within a high-net-worth family office, 5-star international brand hotel or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and payroll regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite HR management software and tools.
  • Based in the Middle East with responsibilities extending to international operations.
  • Extensive experience in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and a proven ability to build a world-class HR organization
  • Ensure employees sign Confidentiality Agreement
  • Develop a program to enhance employee benefits by negotiating favorable rates or discounts with certain vendors and merchants i.e. gym memberships, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
