Temporary Chef I Battersea, London

Our lovely clients are looking for an experienced temporary Chef, to cook evening meals at their riverside apartment in Battersea.

Cooking dinner for the 2 principals, the chef will need to manage the shopping, and is free to arrive at their home from around 17:00, so that dinner can be served promptly at 7.30pm - prior notice will be given on the few occasions that guests are invited.

The couple have a well-practiced routine, and while they have modest appetites, they still enjoy a three-course meal in the evening, which includes the freshest, highest-quality ingredients, used to create dishes that are light & healthy, focussed on the Mediterranean / Italian / Southern French and the Spanish repertoire.

NB. The family ask the chef to cook generous portions so that there are leftovers which can be put in the fridge, for them to eat for lunch the following day.

The client's kitchen is the centre of their home, and opens into the main living space, so the chef needs to work with this reality, have a friendly and cheerful disposition, while being meticulously clean and tidy while they work. It is especially important that the chef understands the importance of leaving the kitchen in a spotless, hygienic and orderly fashion at the end of every shift.

The chef is needed to work (ideally) 5 evenings each week (but the family may be flexible to fit around the chef's commitments).

The periods which need to be covered are:

• Start date ASAP until the 17th June, then
• Mid July until Mid September, and
• There will be other occasions offered throughout the year.
